Faroque Ahmed
BSC FCA Director and Managing Partner

Faroque’s accountancy experience has varied from working for small firms to working within top 10 international firms, where he was a manager for a number of blue chip multi-national companies. He has experience in hotels, the construction industry, car dealerships, travel companies, yacht companies, mobile homes and individual business owners.

His specialisms are audit, accounting and business advice. His clients include FCA-regulated clients, pension schemes, charities and not-for-profit organisations, and a mixed portfolio of owner managed businesses, including contractors.

As a client manager to many of the smaller sized clients, he oversees their activities too. This gives him a much broader view of the firm’s activities than would normally be expected of a managing partner in a busy accountancy practice.

Forhad Ahmed

Forhad trained with Mazars and qualified in 1995, moving on to become a Senior Manager in Deloitte Saudi Arabia between 2000 to 2004, dealing with a number of multi nationals and UHNW families.

On his return to the UK, he has since developed his own client base which focuses particularly on smaller OMB with a turnover from £1m to £10m. In addition, he has handled a few other clients with a much larger revenue base.

A general practitioner at heart, Forhad is keen to deal with growing businesses and his solutions are to always tailor them to meet a client’s particular needs. Whether it is a second-hand carpet dealer with a specialised VAT scheme or a large Money Service Business requiring a part-time FD to oversee an accounts team, Forhad is very much service orientated and tries to fit his timings and needs around his clients. Additionally, Forhad is always on the move and his client base is very non-geographic, from Canary Wharf to Bangladesh.

After expanding his technical exposure at Deloitte, Forhad returned to the firm he left in 2004 as Audit Manager and provided additional services to Sonali Bank (UK) Limited for the Internal Audit Services team. During this period, he built his own portfolio of clients in specialist areas of Money Service Businesses; he provided Consultancy Services to over 10 subsidiaries of Bangladeshi banks; he helped them set up operations in the UK by dealing with both the FCA and HMRC in relation to their regulatory and set up requirements; and furthermore, he continues to provide on-going Anti Money Laundering related services to these clients. He also has a number of pharmacies he acts for and a number of other significant OMBs, the largest having a turnover in excess of £6 million.
